Markus Arnold is a passionate musician and the inventor and developer of the Buzz-R embouchure trainer. He has been experimenting with the Buzz-R for more than 40 years and built it from a drain plunger and a mouthpiece. In combination with the right sound wood, the Buzz-R has proven to be a great embouchure trainer for many beginners, amateur musicians and professional musicians.

ARNOLD, MARKUS (*12. 7. 1970 in Bad Kissingen and raised in Waldberg /Rhön near Bad Neustadt an der Saale)

1975 began at the age of five years with the trumpet play with his father Eduard Arnold, stood already with six years with him and the Waldberger Rhönmusikanten on the stage.

In 1980 he then received musical training with the youth music corps of the city of Bad Kissingen, to which he belonged for six years and in the meantime his 2 sons Simon and Max who also enjoy musical training in this corps.

In 1982 Markus Arnold earned the young musician performance badge in bronze with Prof. Adam Zeyer. He said to his father: "Your son can become a great trumpet player one day".

1984 Start of an apprenticeship as a tiled stove builder and trumpet lessons in Gröbming/Austria

1993 Passing of the master craftsman's examination in tiled stove and air heating construction.

Like his father, Markus Arnold became a tiled stove builder by profession, but played the trumpet in every free minute.

In 1993 Markus Arnold met his current friend Martin Lechner, the world-renowned master instrument maker from Bischofshofen.

In 1994 Markus Arnold got his first handmade Lechner trumpet, which he still blows with enthusiasm.

In 1995 he passed the performance badge in gold, the register leader and the instructor examination in the subject trumpet with a "very good".

In the same year he joined the North Bavarian Youth Wind Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Lower Franconia.

In 1996 Markus Arnold toured the region as a founding member of the Vocal - Brass Big Band of the Kreismusikschule Rhön-Grabfeld, where as a young lead trumpeter he was already blowing at dizzying heights (above g3).

In 2000, together with his brother-in-law Joachim Bühner, he founded the "Kreuzbergblick-Quintett", where he performs on stage with his wife Gabi Arnold (clarinet) and plays in a typical Oberkrainer line-up.

Among other things, Arnold is 1st flugelhorn player - or solo trumpet player with the Sandberger Musikanten.

Markus Arnold attended many workshops, among others with Richard Steuart, Malte Burba, Harald Winter, Sepp Mattlschweiger, Prof. Pomberger and Dusko Gojkovic.

2002

A stroke of luck was then for the amateur trumpeter pushing for perfection a private study with the graduated music teacher for trumpet Norbert Glock.

Again and again, the two honed his professionalism.

In 2004 Markus Arnold achieved his greatest success to date: at the Yamaha Trumpet Contest he made it to the finals in Berlin with the ten best trumpeters in Europe in the field of classical music.

At the preliminary round of this competition in Hannover, Jeroen Berwaerts, as examiner, said : " I have seldom seen such a warm expression on the trumpet.

Since 2006 he plays in the "Orginal Kapelle Egerland" under the direction of Edi Sagert, 1st flugelhorn and trumpet and in " Guido Henn und seine goldene Blasmusik" the 1st flugelhorn.

In 2007 Markus Arnold took 3rd place in the finals of the show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar der Volksmusik" in Bad Nauheim and received a recording contract with Dotter Records with his own composition "Zauber der Lechner Trompete" or "Der Trompeten Magier", a trumpet solo by Markus Arnold, arranged for wind orchestra by Franz Watz was produced with Guido Henn and his golden brass music on the latest CD 2008.

Markus Arnold met some artists and prominent personalities, among others orchestra Otti Bauer, Anita Burck, Astrit Harzbecker, Till Brönner, Hans Peter Salentin, Rüdiger Baldauf, Walter Scholz, Belsy, Axel Becker, Ronny, Karl Heiz Böhm, Grayham Bonny, Drafi Deutscher, Minister Seehofer, Minister Glos, musicians of Canadian Brass and much more.....

Since February 2008, Arnold has been a freelance musician and instructor for trumpet and also performs trumpet concertos as a soloist with his C, B, ES and his piccolo trumpet in high A/B.

Since September 2008 Markus Arnold has been working as a conductor and instructor for brass instruments at the Trachtenkapelle Elters in the Hessian Rhön and is a sought-after guest lecturer for Bohemian-Moravian brass music in many music clubs.

The first single will be released in the course of 2008. Markus Arnold is a very versatile trumpet player, from classical to baroque, from big band to Oberkrainer sound to Franconian folk music.

Markus Arnold shows his great love for Ernst Mosch and his Bohemian brass band music. This music has influenced Arnold very much in his childhood. In addition, he was for years with his father-in-law Helmut Friedel (known in the Rhön as Ernst Mosch of the Rhön) and the Trachtenkapelle Sandberg in northern Germany and 1993 in America musically on the road. By the way, his wife is from Sandberg.

In September/October 2009 the 2nd volume of the successful book "Das große Buch der Trompeter" by Friedl Keim will be published, in which Markus Arnold is mentioned as a solo trumpet player with a biography and is thus included in the league of the best. Page 114/115

A great success!

From April 2011-April 2013 Markus Arnold studied at the German Pop Academy in Munich the course "Tonmeister", which he graduated with "very good success" i.e. with 91%.
